Why?
Getting clients on camera talking positively about your brand and their customer service experience is hugely powerful. John D Wood have produced a number of these videos with TMC. Focusing on specific areas around London, they also use the videos to guide clients on what it is like to live in an area – in this case Weybridge. Without interviewing any sales staff or managers we developed the authenticity of the brand by interviewing two clients who lived in the area – one lettings and one sales.
What?
Established in 1872, John D Wood is one of London’s most respected estate agents. TMC was commissioned to produce a series of videos that focus on their various branch locations throughout London. Weybridge is one of a series and will be followed by the remaining branch network in line with their planned refurbishments. The brief for this video production was to capture the essence of Weybridge and what it is like to live there. The clients shared their experience of living in Weybridge whilst explaining how John D Wood has helped them to successfully buy, sell and rent properties in the location.
How?
We filmed the branch, Weybridge and the interviews over one day. As with all our video production projects we worked with the client beforehand to establish the message, tone of voice and key objectives. We then developed the interview questions and created a storyboard for sign off. The video production has been very well received and is embedded on the John D Wood website under the Weybridge location. These kind of client testimonial videos are highly effective for our clients as they subtly sell their message whilst giving their potential customers value-added information and peace of mind. It’s all about delivering great content and this video production does that exceptionally well.

Christopher: I chose John D Wood to sell the property, we had three other agents round and Vince suggested a higher asking price and we achieved £25,000 more.
Demi: I think the fact that John D Wood have been in the area for 16 years absolutely was part of the main reason why I used them because they are instilled in the local community. They have a very good retention rate with their employees so I’ve been able to build up a good relationship with the team. We know each other on a first-name basis.
Christopher: I think as a seller and a buyer, the digital side is very, very good. John D Wood’s website is very easy to use, the marketing is excellent, advertising is very good and I think that’s probably the reason why we got a buyer very quickly. Everything was very, very smooth from start to finish. We had quite a few viewings on the property within a short period of time. (We) managed to find a buyer within I think about three weeks who exchanged and completed it within three weeks and also it was a cash buyer which was fantastic.

Demi: They’re extremely effective when it comes to pitching a property to potential tenants, between all of the agents I’ve worked with over the years in Weybridge, they are probably the best. If I was selling my properties, I would only give them to John D Wood in the area. I trust them, I trust them to give me the right advice, not to try and get me to pitch a lower value on a property, I trust that they’ll sort of hold out for the right price for me and to find me the right types of buyers and not waste my time.
